Ha, Bank, Take that!
Ah, yessss. I can see what you were trying to do there. Mayfair.
Snag] Try asking on the banter page, it's much more civilised! Meanwhile, I have to fox Thrax with Barbican.
Your attempts, Korky to fox me by initiating a "Sideways-Counter-Rabbit" manouvre, while not work, as I'm well educated in the principles espoused by the great Masters, such as Heptonstall and Puttbadger. I'm tempted to try and formulate a "Helsinki" Defence, but that would make this laughably easy, so rather I'll opt for Tooting Bec, and pull off a "Pie-Ball Reverse", closing down every Diagonal South of the Thames. Hah!
Oh, and Snaggy, go HERE for infor on how to do bold etc. Great stuff, courtesy of our own Dr Qu+xum
*Rubbing his sore nose* Luckily the DLR only has a weak diagonal coefficient and as such avoids Thrax' Pie-Ball Reverse due to the current high LV. South Quay using Goodwin's Third Rule and I'll pick up those purple podumes that Chalky dropped during her reverse shunt. Ha!
Hmmmm. I like a challenger who comes back for more. I think I'll redress the issue of the Beck's Co-effecient, and double the Snoods at Pall Mall, by playing Bayswater. *Cackles maniacially* I'm so mauve.
Ha Thrax, by failing to take the squirrel coeficient into account you have walked right into my trap Goodge Street and in for the kill
I say, chaps, can anyone play? Or is this turning into a Lockisseum match 'tween Mssrs Snagandorf and Thrax? In any case, I think I shall interject at Knightsbridge.
Verry nice indeed i gues i have no choice but to stalk off to Angel and wallow in my own self pitty
and may i also take this time to declare a full reverse waffle in effect
Most flattered to have you with us, LotUS. It's open season here. Hop in, if you dare.

Hmmm, you're certainly picking it up quickly, Snags. Was I correct in inferring from your earlier statement that you're a beginer, or where you trying to lull us all into a false sense of security? In any event, you show promise, lad/lass. That was a most impressive move, worthy of respect among established, seasoned players all. Indeed, Full Reverse Waffles can be deadly while they're still hot. I'm getting outta the way until this one cools down. Fortunately I'm always prepared for eventuallities like this. And thus, for this move, I shall - mercilessly - **Farkle!!!** Heh heh.
In that case, Thrax, Dollis Hill.
Dollis Hill. You rotter! Well, we're all in the same boat now, folks.
you are correct to assume i am a beginer as this is my first true game(i ahve played many against the java applet) but do not concider me an amature, i have spent three days learning the rules and now that the waffles have cooled for many hours i can play Kenton and double my life total.(although i still am not certan if we each have our own player tokens or if there is one community token that we all move)
Ah! The sagacity of the novice! What sheer luck has allowed him to burst the confines of the Dollis Hill loop so swiftly? Fairlop, and be damned!
Er - what happened to the LV? I only make it 65.13, and even taking into account Thrax's farkle... Humby-ho. Gallion's Reach
Finaly this game has enough upward momentum that i can Farkle! twice in the same turn without throwing us into the dreaded double farkle spiral of doom.
Two farkles? Too much for me! A swift reverse all the way to Ealing Broadway
Camden, and declaring home stations at Picadilly and Victoria.

Snags, for a beginner you show promise, Sir or Madam(which are you?). I'm sure you'll understand that this is why I came out at you so aggressively in the opening phase. My philosophy is always to stamp hard on the new bloods and see how they handle themselves. I do this in the hope that they'll not merely survive, but also thrive under pressure, becoming stronger as a result. Evil Doctor Thrax, as I am known to some, is not entirely without compassion you know. In any event, I'm impressed by how well you handled yourself back there. Respect earned, and given. *doffs hat.*
Since Thrax seems to be playing rather a lot in this game, I have ample opportunity to study the intended style and position before plunging in. In this case, with Lancaster Gate, for maximum inconvenience - nothing personal, but I'm not about to let anybody get too far ahead purely through overactivity ;-)
So, playing hard ball are we, Mr Ellis? Very well, so be it. Moredon, says I, and let that be a lesson to you.
since this game seems to be slowing down one turn should last long enough to play all four Acton's, thats right north south east and west all in one verry long turn. now are you happy JLE?
Indeed, JLE, our friend Thrax is proving to be somewhat hyperactive. Thus, me being an aging fuddy duddy, Old Street collecting a pensioner's card and twenty free senior citizens' podumes on the way. The fact that they are dusty and somewhat fragile makes no difference in the right hands.
Dollis Hill again.
Since everyone is determaned to slow this game down andput me in a nut shell, here is me in a nutshell:
name: Michael Clauser(yes my initials are mc)
gender: Male(i think)
Location: indiana(USA)
Favorit science fiction commedy writer: the late douglas adams(like there was any other choice)
Since the title of thismatch is new game, i believe we must finish this gamewhile it is still new. with that i call forth Team Rules and request thrax as my partner if he will have me
Nice to make your aquaintance, Michael. My real name's Adam, by the way, or Adz to those who know me. Check here for more info on me, under the pseudonym "Anthrax Whirl" - a name I used to call myself back in the halcyon days when myself and others convened for bouts of MC at Mr Wild Pants' Mornington Crescent Server.

I must confess I heartily share your appreciation of the late great DNA, a master of the sci-fi/satire genre. Pleased to learn there are folk Stateside who share a love of his works, and also that of MC.

However, I'm not sure that Team Play is permissible mid-game, my friend. I think that's something that has to be arranged at the start. Moreover, I'm going to be taking a few days' absence from this site, beginning tomorrow, as I have family commitments, I'm afraid. However, I'll be back soon, and would be more than happy to take you on as a wingman or apprentice upon my return, if you fancy.

Anyway, returning to the game, for this move I obviously have no choice but to play Dollis Hill, since Darren has been once again wicked enough to begin another "Dollis Hill Loop". Darren, Sir, you are far more sinister than I originally conjectured. I shall be keeping an eye on you.
Dollis Hill - well, you'll find my style of play has become somewhat sterner since my ticking off in the Lockisseum for trying to win games too early!
Agreed, this game has barely begun, and is just warming up. Dollis Hill.
seeing as how the last several moves have been verry empty, i stomp on the ground three times while swinging a beaver above my head, we all fall into the giant sinkhole and if renaming stations was alowed we would all be at the bottom of Dollis Pit. try to claw your way up the walls if you must, there is no escape.
Dollis Hill but retrograde.
Confounded business this. Dollis Hill.
good move Boolbar and thrax concidering there is now little elsware to go but Dollis hole in the ground and i shall draw three cards.
hey thrax i visited your profile and thanks to google there is one more person who abso-bloody-lutly knows what tmesis is.
Entering with a typical Ongar, and home at Goodge Street.
[Tuj] Thanks. So on to Waterloo (Waterloo & City line only).
Boolbar] Which forces me to play Bank - curses!
Now that Dollis Canyon has been filled in with lemmings i can move to Elephant and Castle and get this game rolling again.
Keeping up the momentum by spooning at Aldwych is suitable, as it leaves the Metropolitan in knid.
If the Metropolitan is in knid, then Tower Hill gets me a beige podume.
On the other hand, St Paul's could have got you a golden podume, which is now mine! All those in knid are now reversed and have to play with their feet. As opposed to playing with their feet, if you get my meaning.
Oy! Watchit! A bloke's having a quiet sleep and you do that ... so, Bank dropping a grey podume and a few grey hairs in the process.
not knowing what a podume is, i will Farkle, and destroy all remaining on the board.
Sorry, Snagandorf, but the grey podume I dropped negates that move (for your information, sir/madam, it effectively drops leaves on the line - I warned you earlier that they are dynamite in the right hands - and allows at least two more moves, either of which could easily side-step your dastardly ploy). Anyhow, just in case, I'll straddle to Monument.
then i shall take diagonal roads all the way to Holland Park where i shall yell at a tree untill it falls over dead.
Ongar for the obvious reasons.
Knightsbridge, making the classic combination.
And the classic antidote, Royal Oak.
it is time for the three cards i picked up earlier. i play Jack of Clubs which is of course trump, Jean-Luke Picard from the star trek card game, and Arcanis the Omnipotent from mtg. with these three men i shall pick up the Royal Oak i knocked down, and use it as a battering ram. look out comi'n through. we end at Liverpool Street, destroying all track to the south.
In that case, I'll open air routes with Heathrow Terminals 1, 2, 3.
Defence is the better part of attack here, methinks. Shoreditch.
[Dujon] No, a strong offence would make the better defence here - Arsenal, mayhaps.
Ha! Declaring smoog on the first quadrant. Ickenham.
i shall tap Arcanis to draw three cards... Ha!Profesor Plumb in the Ballroom with the Candelstick. Snaresbrook for the warbling defence.
No further defence is valid. Sloane Square. Black-hole tokens on Snaresbrook to demolish Snagandorf.
you have forced me to play the card that was sitting on the table the whole time, Wild Draw two. the color of the hole is now green, i escape narrowly losing all my posessions and my dignity. I shall now sit on the corner with a cup asking for spare change.(down but not quite out, any help would be appreciated).
Embles, Goraj the Mighty! declared and the Quick! Grab His Kneecaps card played.
This seems to have mutated into something other than MC. King's Cross St. Pancras, although illegal, forces a legal MC move to invalidate; thus requiring a return to MC.
Euston and i believe your move was invalad because we are in smoog.(sorry about that i was just in one of those moods)
[Snagandorf] Only if you are in the first quadrant. Will was in the second so the move was valid. Oval - playing power cut on the DLR.
Blackfriars then.
Although the smoog explanation isn't accurate, King's X was specifically invalidated by reason of the implicit one-station block from Uncle Corky's Royal Oak play earlier. It was valid UNTIL the Euston move, as I pointed out.
Well, as that is only valid retrospectively I'll continue with Shaft!, Sandbags At Dawn declared.
Angel and only thrax can stop me now
[Snagandorf] I think you've overlooked something.
Sudbury Hill putting Snagandorf in knid and shunts all tokens on the circle line one stop clockwise.
E gad you'r right, Oxford Circus and the game is running strong.
Amersham, and a silver podume on Westminster to police the southern approaches.
