[ZK]Dangermouse?
[pen] Easy - Blue Peter! (although you missed off the Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr at the start...)
[chalky] YAY! Blind date it is!
[Watty] Aye Aye Cap'n!
[pen] er, actually - now I look at it, it's not Blue Peter (Barnacle Bill), is it?
Dabba dum-dum-dumma
Dumma-dum-dum-dum
Dumma-dummadumma- dumma-dumma dumma-dummma-dum....
It's the good old Sailor's Hornpipe. Hmm. More difficult than it looks, this game.
Meanwhile, another classic sitcom:

Yup,that's whole opening theme. Promise.

Porridge
Just a suggestion, if I may: we should number the entries as we suggest them: Penelope's "Blue Peter/Sailor's Hormpipe" theme was, I think, entry number 10, Watty's somewhat cryptic entry is Number 11, so whoever posts a new "tune" (which might be me in a mo) should number it as 12. We're all so good at numbering our postings (cf: "Just a Cheddar Gorge") so this should present no problems. Also, it will facilitate the occasional roundup of resolved and as-yet-unresolved tunes. By my estimation, as yet unresolved are:

3. Herr Bratsche's "Dit dit dit daa daa daa daa daa daa"; and
9. ZK's tantalising "Deee doo-doo-doop, deee doo-doo-doop".

Here's mine:
12.

Pa-pa-pa paah, paaah pa-pa-paaah
pa pah-pah-pah-pah pah-pah-pah-pah pah-pada-paah
Pa-pa-pa paaah, paaah pa-pa-paaah
pa-pa-pa-pada-pa-pa-pa pah-pada paah
Pa-pa-pa paaah, pa-pa-pa paaah da da Waaaaah-waaaah.

Cartoon, entire theme.

[Kim] Hokey Cokey - Number 9. is "Dangermouse" (I think...)
Certainly sounds like it could be. (400k wav file)
3. [HB] is that "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perin"?
[Bigsmith] That's the fella.
Pen got it with "Some Mothers Do Ave 'Em". The 'Morse' reference? Apparently the composer (Ronnie Hazelhurst?) got the rhythm (with slight licence) from spelling out the programme name in Morse code. And thus we have the short them I quoted in its entirety. May well be the cheapest ever original TV theme tune, with only 2 flutes playing it.
I did wonder about Some Mothers, as indeed Dangermouse but stupidly didn't think to track down and listen to them to check. So I lose two points...
Bigsmith has it! Dangermouse it was!
I vote that whoever gets the last of these two choses the next. Still unaccounted for then...
Lib] - Television.
Tum tee-tum tee-tum-tee-tum-tee-tum.
Tee-tum tee-tum tee-tum-tee-tum-tee-tum.
Tee-tum tee-tum tee-tum tee-tum-tee-tum.
Tee-tum tee-tum tee-tum-tee-tum-um-tee.

And Kims...
Pa-pa-pa paah, paaah pa-pa-paaah
pa pah-pah-pah-pah pah-pah-pah-pah pah-pada-paah
Pa-pa-pa paaah, paaah pa-pa-paaah
pa-pa-pa-pada-pa-pa-pa pah-pada paah
Pa-pa-pa paaah, pa-pa-pa paaah da da Waaaaah-waaaah.

Mine's blind date as Chalky guessed earlier.
We clearly need another one -

Ga dum de diddly dum de dum de dum de dum de deee
Ga dum de diddly dum de dum de dum de dum de deee
Ga dum de diddly dum de dum da daa de deee de deee
GA dum de diddly dum de diddly dum de dum de dum ...

HB] Monty Python!
I reckon two on the go at once is ok, so:

ping....pang....peng....pong....dum da-DAAAA, da da-da-da DEEEE, di-DOOOO....

Raak News at 10! Next!

[Btd] Right in one. Too easy, that one.
[Btd] No.
Raak] 'Yes Minister'?
This one turns out harder to write than you think. TV. Current.

Lib's was Blind Date. Chalky got it ages ago.
Have we given up numbering, then?
[rab] 24?
[Kim] did we ever start numbering?
[all] I think we all got carried away and forgot about the numbers. [Btd] No. [ScipiO] No. (clue) It's an old TV series, that has often been rerun. The part I quoted is just the intro to the main theme, but I can't quite remember how the transition goes.
Currently outstanding are 12: Kim, 14: Raak, 16: rab.
That one rab just did (16?) - I think it's "Have I Got News For You"
[Darren] Congratulations, Sir.
ScipiO] I think Raak meant "Yes, you can join in, but no it is not Mastermind". Welcome!
OK, I'll do one - number 17.
Dum dum dummmmmmm, bree-di-di deeee,
di-di deeee, dee di-di-di deee,
baaa baa babababaaa, tata tata tata teeee....
deee di-deee di-dee, deee di-deee di-dee,
dee di-dee di-deee...
etc.
Well, I've got a tune in my mind which would fit your number 17, Darren, but it won't give me its title! I'll get back to you (no doubt it'll come to me in the middle of my night). :-(
