And my whole's a trunk road which is never called 'cute'

My first's in ELEPHANT but not in the ZOO
My second's in HORRAY because I'm not BLUE
My third's in MENTATION, but nowhere in THOUGHT
My fourth is in SHOULD and also in OUGHT
My fifth is in AUGUST but never in MAY
My sixth's in GERVAIS but not PETER KAY I feel dirty
My seventh's in RODNEY and TROTTER as well
And O for my eighth I would not be in HELL
My ninth is not MORTAL but VENIAL sin
And my last is a GAME which you never can WIN
My whole's a station on the dark blue line
And so with that riddle we now must call time.

Can I just mention that if Tuj's move 8 had been "My eighth's in URCHIN and also in WAIF, the answer could have been East India?
