The Not-So-Long Game: Finsbury Option '88
help
To Mornington Crescent, and let the play be fair (if devious). Quadrant 5 is wild, no podumes and striles count double.
Harrow-on-the-Hill, home withheld. Ruttsborough would have loved this ruleset, I always thought.
No podumes, Eh. In that case there's hardly any penalty from declaring home at Strand. Opening at Southwark of course.
Home declared at Turnham Green and opening with that old favourite, Neasden.
I haven't played the Game for ages, not properly! Um, opening at Baker Street, Home at Turnpike Lane.
Right then. Bromley-by-Bow, shunting Software. It's nice to be able to play ruthlessly again!
Well at least I know who to avoid for during my Cartwright's opening gambit, starting at Pimlico declaring Home at Brent Cross .
Tuj's shunt leaves me with no other option than Epping.
Ah-HA! Kennington, a green token dropped on Oval.
If it's old, and it's a street, it must be Old Street.
If it's new, it's a gate and it's not happy, it must be New Cross Gate
If it's much sharper tactical play resulting in a silver podume gain, it must be Alperton :P
If it's almost round, and there's a green podume there, it's Oval.
BZZZZTTT C'mon Humph, get a grip on those two - the rules say NO podumes quite clearly.
Oh pills, serves me right for not paying attention to the ruleset, very slack. I'll have to surrender my Zone 1 pass and restart from South Acton.
