Stations Revenge
help
Find yourself a station. One station per person. The penalty for any indiscretion will be the immediate confiscation of tokens (to be kept by the referee). Winning move is ‘Dr Qu+xum’
arrow_circle_up
rab for a strong start, and home at penelope.
Getting off the mark with Tuj and declaring Dujon as home.
Opening gambit with two blue tokens snorgle.
Googolplex, obviously, home at flerdle
Dunx, home declaration deferred until I've got a drink in my hand.
JLE, home at Paulway
Striling to Stevie.
Botherer declaring Chalky wild.
Declaring home at penelope (no renovation required).
moving to Chalky, silver podume on flerdle.
Circling to Darren, and denying Rosie.
A straightforward move to Inkspot but blocks all around Dujon.
Demi-striling to Chris, picking up two red podumes and this week's Heat.
Barking - Ella- Commencing with the assertion of Botherer as home.
Ella Previewing move before submission but still asserting Botherer as home.
Getting coat having now examined previous game on MCiOS.
Kiwi Chris, cunningly putting London Bridge in Outrage!.
St Dogmael, declaring home at Uncle Korky and cornering New Cross.
nights, resisting bifurcation at levels four and five.
[Mudchute]That was a brave first play to put on New Cross. Moving quickly away from any lingering discharge to Breadmaster.
Amazed that Dunx is still playable, but then again, this game is riddled with sly surprise. Declaring Parlour Verse for the next 7 moves.
Ealing Common - too many moves to Botherer too soon in the game, so stridling to Ella bifurcating at penelope with an option to *farkle* at Kiwi Chris. Gosh, this game's picking up speed.
I think I'll start at Software taking a red podume for later.
Kicking off with a simple shift to Kim
I'm not afraid! Botherer, eludicating flerdle and rab.
Elastoplast. Or at least that was what the lawyers told me to say. I on the other hand prefer the offensive powers of Dujon.
Escaping Outrage! by shunting to Dujon, losing LV and the inside story of Jen and Brad's split. Goodge Street] You started it!
[Goodge Street] I'd expect more common sense that to start a Dujon loop this early into the game!
IJB - I've just returned to the place of my birth. It has a certain charm. If you're in my quadrant come and see.
Simons Mith. I'll take that podume, if you don't mind.
switching Chalky, deactivating all North-American pilgs until Eastenders is repeated on Sunday.
IJB. I have emerged from my reverie in mischievous mood, intent on a cascade.
Shuffling all stations to the north with Bim, and marking all yellow podumes with a blue minipodume.
Well, that forces me to retreat to Penelope and hope for a stroke of luck.
*flerdle*
Ladbroke Grove's clearly an amateur! Bifurcating with Thos / Projoy, which I believe places Stonebridge Park in knip.
Accompanying Thos / Projoy with JLE, declaring Compulsory Flanders and Swann for two moves.
IJB. A shunt to this interchange should free me of knip and give me time to renormalise. There's some dangerous play out there. So much for my plan.
Pray, what is this strange station 'IJB' which keeps getting tagged on to different players? Some sort of ruleset that hasn't been declared?
I have no idea, honestly. strange things go on all the time here. Stevie, with a bonus side penelope.
[London Bridge] You started it! A Dunx on you, and your knid!
Well, Yer Mom gets me out of knid with a simple sideways twirl, allows me to pick up three magenta podumes, and gives me the inside scoop on how Angelina's coping with her affair being made public - quite a versatile station. Goodge Street] Huh?
[LB] Good question. I'll *flerdle*.
[Goodge Street] S'not good enough - sorry old chum. Two *flerdlings* within 10 moves is pushing your luck. Pay attention.
Tuj
Well, you started it. If I amend my previous move to Ella yours is still valid, I s'pose.
Raak, with two silver tokens on Merlyn.
Um... nights
st dogmael, anti-striling madly.
IJB Don't know how I ended up in this game. I suspect I've been the victim of a reverse transfer manoeuvre in another zone. You all look after yourselves now. Bye
I think an open understrile to Lord Blue Glass is called for. This enables me to retrench at ZK and shuffle my podumes.
While the podumes are being shuffled, let's begin increasing LV with a Dr Lock/MWP bifurcation.
Verdorie, en nog eens verdorie. Prof Plum/Martha Farquar, wildly.
Edging with syncronised boolbar/blamelewis.
ZK, backwards. hee hee.
I'll return us to normal play with Gusset Login and a lot of top spin.
Invoking Crabbits with a move to LotUS. LV now squared. Ghost players score double.
Anonymouse, reticulating banches and scoring double.
No ghosts, banches or vampires for me - I'm sticking with the living. Blob, snoods realigned ENE.
In that case, Simons Mith and double all blue tokens.
Making no apologies for my novice status and striling to Chalky
London's first traffic island was built in 1864. Oh, and DrQu+xum, nullifying the earlier Dr Lock to deny a cognoscenti cascade.
Dunx, exiting munce phase. Wasn't Dr Q the winning move?

[goodge street] wie ne'harem ganach til g'weren sar?
[New Cross] Only if punctuated correctly. Besides, the move is clearly illegitimate whilst the snoods are aligned the way they are. Nina.
[Bank] point. do we ever reveal which station is who? Chalky, strange and beautiful bonus employed (let's see who blushes)
I'll realign the snoods with Stevie
[New Cross] unmasking after the winning move. With the end game being played out, two red tokens on Puckoon.
[Osterly] Indeed. I feel an unorthodox Néa wouldn't go amiss here.
Bank is placed in hyperspoon due to poor HTML. I will play Néa with blocks on Dr Qu+xum. Get out of that.
[St John's Wood] Poor HTML?! This is an outrage, sir! You may indulge your hypercutlery collection all you like, but it will not gain you victory!
SJW] I'll get out of that with a quick strile to ImNotJohn, and leave New Cross and Bank to their little scrap.
[GS] leave me out of it! Nina, ghosting Suzy Creamcheese.
Moi aussi, au dessus de la Raakaille!
Suddenly realising I've lost the plot at three stations, retreating to my starting point of Botherer and inverting Dujon.
re-entering the fray with a cautious Darren. Big Hair Wild.
Spinning red podumes with Irouleguy and invoking cataract.
I'll stradle Chalky while I have a chance..
Whilst Chalky's straddled, I'll make a desperate lunge for lib.
Not quick enough - Dr Qu+xum! Thanks to the wild big hair and cataract.
errr... ‘Dr Qu+xum’?
What's your hurry, Woody-boy?
I'm just chillin' with a frothy [yet curiously relaxing] bi-furcation of CdM/Breadmaster. Watch and weep.
Screeches into Nina and challenging the inversion of Dujon which, surely, is already in that state.
Seconding Tower Hill's challenge and opening a Beaches and animals cascade with sandycat.
After two failed attempts at playing the winning line, I wonder if I made an error in the set up. Pressing on with ISayPorter.
There's nothing worse than making a move of Sir Joseph Bazalgette
[VJ] True, though considering I've already been to DrQ and back, I doubt much will come of it. Boolbar, reversing.
avoiding the option to shunt Botherer.
[Osterly] Just to make sure that the default move isn't in place... Mornington Crescent...
...which it isn't! Not sure whether that's a relief or not... Anyway, plumping onwards with plump.
Mr Wild Pants. Ha!
I can only follow that up with an I'mNotJohn denial.
Dan (forced).
Starting at gil halfway down the Amazon. Home at matt
Shock tactics (overcoming initial surprise at being told "A 'MARTHA' tag has been left open") to try and force a result: Martha Farquar!
nfras to rest and recuperate after the trauma of the Goodge Street move.
Nina to try and speed things up a little
Hold fast ! There's yet time for a quick ZK !
There might even be time for Googolplex, the Amazing Balancing Goat from Luxembourg
Rosie, putting Dollis Hill into spin.
I'll put my Software into action then, obtaining a crimson podume from Old Street.
That means it's time for a dastardly Anthrax Whirl!
And a quick Blob.
Whipping up the LV rather dangerously, aren't we? Bob the dog should stabilise that.
Which leaves me open to play Dr Qu+xum
*shouts, screams, generally goes wild for Dollis Hill*
so who was everyone?
Well I reckon that Kew Gardens was Chalky, St John's Wood was Inkspot, and Goodge Street was nights.
Goodge Street can't have been nights - he was away for a week. I think Goodge Street was Dunx, Dollis Hill was penelope and Oakwood may have been Botherer.
I was playing but not St. John's Wood.
Strange... I'd have expected more Cluedo-style action than this...
I was playing. But who was I?
Darren] *sticks pin in page* St John's Wood? Tough these.
I suspect Tuj to be Dollis Hill.....gets list out ready
player No of

I was just getting into this game ! I had a Tuj up my sleep and everything. (Does this mean I'm on 3 moves now ?)
Or 4 ...
Sounds like you've been having a very scarey nightmare. Hope it's not a recurring one.
[Tuj] Correct! I was, indeed, the very St John's Wood who tried so desperately to stop this game before it descended into someone else winning it.
Err..actually, I played 3 moves. Not that it matters....
In that case, results so far...
1. St John's Wood = Darren
Wow, one-nil! And no, [Osterly], Dollih Hill wasn't me. Was it Chalky, I wonder...? And ditto Rosie and Bank?
I wasn't Rosie. I don't think he tends to play MC games.
Should I be guessing in character?
And I was indeed Oakwood, although I did drop a proverbial at one stage.
Tuj] Feel free to do either, or both (if you really wish to obfuscate!)
Scores on the doors:
1. St John's Wood = Darren
2. Oakwood = Botherer
Actually, I'm more curious to know how people identified us, than who we all were!
[Darren] Finding out how the mind of an MC player works *shudders* that is somewhere I'd prefer not to go. *heads for a lie down*
Could Chalky possibly have been Bank?
As a clue to my identity, I'm a fairly rare contributor to MC5, though I believe I actually suggested its name. I'm far more often spotted on Orange & MCiOS.
Not Chalky either - still waiting for her to deny being Kew Gardens.
Old Street] Could you be LotUS?
Might New Cross really turn out to be Inkspot?
Going out on a limb here, but I think that Botherer might also have played as Botherer and Strand (and possibly another station), and Ella as Ella and Barking.
Good guess but not New Cross
Inkspot] What about Kew Gardens?
I thought Mudchute might be Chalky
Nope, not LotUS. More spherical than that.
hello, I'm a young man named nights. boo!
Well, if we're at that stage, I was a young man named Goodge Street.
No not Kew Gardens but Osterly not quite stting the game up propely.
Oh well... if masks are coming off...
1. St John's Wood = Darren
2. Oakwood = Botherer
3. New Cross = nights
4. Goodge Street = Tuj
5. Osterly = Inkspot
6. Bank = Uncle Korky
Old Street] Blob?
London Bridge] Penelope?
* unmasked *
*equally unmasked*
*unmasked ages ago*
*definitely not penelope* So, of the stations who played more than once, that just leaves Tower Hill, Ladbroke Grove and Rayner's Lane to unmask.
The story so far (thanks, folks!):
1. St John's Wood = Darren
2. Oakwood = Botherer
3. New Cross = nights
4. Goodge Street = Tuj
5. Osterly = Inkspot
6. Bank = Uncle Korky
7. Old Street = Blob
8. Dollis Hill = all
9. Kew Gardens = Chalky
10. London Bridge = Irouleguy
I was rather nervous when entering this game as I'm jolly near a first timer. I do play non-MC games, though, and have done for some time. One of my moves was a faux pas, although I like to think of it as a cunning and devious ploy.
One of my moves was a cunning and devious ploy, masquerading as a faux-pas.
[Rayner's Lane] Touché! So, what's it to be good squire, butting goats or balancing ballerinas? . . . I shall meet you at dawn!
I thought I posted twice, but I won't ask for a recount. You'll have worked out that I wasn't Chalky. An occasional poster here, but I have been spotted in 101 Uses...
[Mudchute] Falstaff?
[Tower Hill] Handbags at thirty paces, I fancy. I don't suppose you're Anonymouse, are you?
[Rayner's Lane] Nyet! May I ask you if you are in fact Googolplex the Balancing Goat from Luxemburg (or at least, Googolplex)? ..... Handbags? You tart! Underarm deoderant at 10 metres - that should fix one or other of us (you, if I don't use mine).
Perhaps deodorant might be more reasonable?
Come on, you last few - do the reasonable thing and whip those masks off! You know it makes sense!
Oh, all right. Rayner's Lane - c'est moi. [Tower Hill] Googleplex? GOOGLEPLEX? You're kidding, right? Anyway, I don't mean to be picky (though, somehow, I always manage it) but think you'll find that he is Googleplex the Amazing Balancing Goat from Luxembourg.
It is I, Leclerc! Also known as Robin.
I don't think I played in this game - it wasn't me guv'nor.
aka Tower Hill] As I said, one of my moves was a blunder! Hey, ho.
Thans, folks - I think that about wraps it up!
1. St John's Wood = Darren
2. Oakwood = Botherer
3. New Cross = nights
4. Goodge Street = Tuj
5. Osterly = Inkspot
6. Bank = Uncle Korky
7. Old Street = Blob
8. Dollis Hill = all
9. Kew Gardens = Chalky
10. London Bridge = Irouleguy
11. Rayners Lane = Kim
12. Mudchute = Robin
13. Tower Hill = Dujon
Who was Ladbroke Grove (3 moves)?
(Twatspam removed -- rab)
(and again, *sigh*)
