Ode to chocolate:
Oh, you're so shiny, so tasty, I swear,
With one bite of you, I just couldn't care
What strife there may be in my life as it stands;
The worst that could happen? I might get sticky hands.
What is it so great that means I can devour
A couple, or three, bars in under an hour?
What is it makes you so utterly dreamy?
You're crunchy, you're bubbly, or gooey and creamy,
Or fruity, or nutty, have nougaty core -
I'll say it again as I've said it before
A world without chocolate's a pencil unleaded -
Utterly pointless, and a world to be dreaded!
Hmmm...the diet may be getting to me, methinks...

I chanced, this morn, as I awoke
To glance outside, and this was wrote:
A game that lingers with little flair
A game about which few do care
Is it really, really fair?
That such a thing should take up space
And suck attention from the human race?
Wrote, this was, upon a cat,
Who looked most saddened, and with that
He puffed out his tail and turned incandescent!
Off he ran, to Mornington Crescent.

You meany! There's plenty of us that are really enjoying this game. It doesn't need 20 entries per day to be appreciated, you know? Poets need time! I'm cross. So there.

For whom I do care

Ahh! Chalky - the lady of whom I spoke in that little bit of doggerel (sorry, Bob) - is a graphic artist and oft a ticket writer. Obviously she is also a person who contributes much to this and other sites.

Oh, yes, she does/did reside in the City of spires.

Hmmm. Maybe, but not intended in that way. Chalky has openly mentioned these little bits and pieces of her life just as have many other contributors on the MC sites revealed portions of theirs.
