I vote for you starting one. At least you have a regular 'presence' here. I wasn't playing the last game in Pants, but IIRC, it was Bigsmith's 'mineral' and there may have been long waits between replies. Rosie and Dujon will know..

From memory, which is dodgy at the best of times, you are correct. Bigsmith went on a short sabbatical before finally re-appearing to get the thing underway again. I seem to recall long gaps between Qs and As, however it had really only just started. So, thanks to Dr.Q or rab or whomever for setting up this mc⁵ version.

DrQ]I was am a player that sadly never made it over to Pants and so was never introduced into this intriguing game. Are there any guidelines on how many questions you can ask at once or is it one question per move or three successive moves of one question each.

I'm also new to the game, so some "words of one syllable" would be greatly appreciated.

(Inkspot, Kim) At Pants the seemingly accepted rules were: One question at a time: The answer has to be yes or no, but helpful hints were allowed: No limit to the length of the game; it goes on until someone gets the answer. Don't forget the original '50s rules in that Animal covers everything from a Siberian tiger to a pound of sausages or a leather jacket, though the last has some Mineral in it. Similarly Veg & Min.

 

 

BTW - I hope it's OK to have more than one question 'open' at a time. Otherwise, this one might just take a lifetime ...
