[IS,P] Yes indeedy. As for domination, I agree we tend to play the majority of moves, but we don't do this in any other game, and those who play along with us have not made any objections that I've noticed (at least, not recently...). Work? A four-letter word, if ever there was one!
[UK] Do you think we sacrifice quality on the altar of quantity? I'm undecided - but there's rarely a 'LOL' (probably because nobody can post a word in edgewise). I rather liked Softers' A-Ha Day's Night.
A Bridge U2 Far [IS,P] You could well be right - and you certainly are about Chalky. In my defence, as I said above, this is the only game I do this in, and I really appreciate the opportunity to do something approaching 'quickfire'. In addition, there are a number of games across the morniverse that I "don't get" or find too complicated, so I just leave them alone. Whilst I'm not saying that this justifies altering the gameplay here, I don't see games being tinkered with to draw in the greatest possible number of players. It's always nice to find a popular game, but any that is 'active' - certainly to this extent! - should surely exist on its own merits.
Having said all of that, I remember that I got over-enthusiastic with a previous film club game on MCiOS, and that got closed down as a result, and I was rather embarrassed that things ended up that way. I naturally don't want to see the same thing happen again.
Toyah Toyah Toyah [UK] Well, my big games are this one and 201: A Google Odyssey in Another Place. I don't play more than a couple of moves in straight MC games 'cos these new rulesets are a joke - everything was more straightforward in my day. Nice "Bridge U2 Far", btw.
