Short Game

• rab - I think it's ok. When there's no precedent to follow, I think the diagonals are open by default.
• penelope - A towering precedent in what has become a battle of survival for the quickfire format. It gains by its presentation in such a contemporary space, while the elegant lines of the page throw the game's blinding simplicity onto a Tate Modern of canvases.

• Bob the dog - This reminds me of the game of 'Snowdon Mountain Railway'. Two stations, Llanberis and Summit. Anyone fancy a game? I'll go first, Llanberis.

• snorgle - I know its tacky, but how about the Blaenau FFestiniog game? You obviously need to be careful at Minffordd to avoid a Portmeirion plasma flux, but is anyone brave enough? And don't be fooled by the apparently simplistic linear nature of the line. ahem Porthmadog!
• PaulWay - Well, Tan-Y-Bwlch seems to be a safe move at this point.
• rab - Penrhyn then.
• Ibid - Tanygrisiau, predictably enough.
• gil - Trawsfynydd nuclear power station - I know it rather detracts from the landscape, but I can't help that. There were so few options.
• Bob the dog - Penrhyn - gaining two Welshcakes and a slice of Lavabread.
• snorgle - HAH! Fools! You couldn't resist the laverbread, could you Bob the Dog? How deliciously apt! Mwahahahahah... Minffordd!!! {The laverbread, of course, is from the beach..cue Rover!}
• Rover - ***bounce***bounce****bounce****
• rab - Sitting at Porthmadog.
• snorgle - Here Rover! {Attempts Penrhyn, but is completely flummoxed by PENRHYNDEUDRAETH, leading to possible tear in the space-time continuum.} What will our heroes do now?
• Rover - *makes strange whistling/whirring type noise, although any noise from a large weather balloon is strange* *bounces towards snorgle*
• snorgle - {Finally snaps out of it and attempts temporal rift repairs(with a bicycle tire repair kit, as the fabric of space time is quite similar to an inner tube).} I just need a bucket of water now, to pinpoint the leak..
• Ibid - Only thing left open to me now - Llanberis
• Boolbar - Nearly at Llyn Ystradau - stationary over Nant Ddu. I should have taken Pencefn Road.
• widey - You can't beat a good old Nant Gwernol
• rab - Now I've had a little time to reflect, I'm not sure my first move was valid.
